ANIMATION
19/1/2018 – 6/2018 (Volunteering): Sharp Shotz Campaign Competition: Producer, Animator and Teaching Assistant.

This year I have been volunteering with Sharp Shotz to help a team of school children develop a campaign and part-animated short documentary film highlighting an issue that they are passionate about. Volunteering for this project has been very rewarding and the experience I have gained has been varied, from helping the teams to build their marketing campaign, to producing the team responsible for the animation for their documentary.

2/2018 - 4/2018 (Volunteering):Silverback Films, Animated short live brief: Animator, Co-Writer, Co-Producer.
I am currently working on a live animation brief for Silverback Films. Our film is being made using Adobe After Effects. and this brief has been a good opportunity for me to work for a client and to develop my 2D Digital animation skills.
11/2/2017 – 18/2/2017: Calling the Shots, BFI Film Academy Animation Camp: Residential Teaching Assistant.

Over a week, I helped teach and guide a group of 16-19-year olds in the creation of a ninety second animation. It helped to develop my management, team work and interpersonal skills. This involved a lot of on-the-job learning as I was unfamiliar with the animation software that was used. I adapted quickly however and took on extra responsibilities such as helping all the teams to record the sound effects for their film.

9/2016- 1/2017: Phoebee Amazing.

I worked as part of a team to create a short Stop Motion puppet animation for children. My main role was producer and animator but we all had a part in the story and design development as well as the puppet making.

4/2016: Twmpath, Danny Tose.

I helped making sets for a third year production. It was good having first-hand experience in first year of just what can be accomplished with cheap materials.

OTHER WORK

11/2017 – 6/2018 (Volunteering): Student’s Union at the University of the West of England: Community and Welfare Officer.

In October 2017, I ran a successful campaign to be elected as the Community and Welfare Officer for the Student’s Union at the University of the West of England. During my time as officer I have worked with the UWE Veg*n society to get better food options at SU-ran cafeterias and I will soon start talks with one of the private caterers on campus. I have also begun work on researching into private student accommodation via on campus questionnaires, with a goal to educate the students about the prevalence of rising prices in private accommodation.
9/2017 – 6/2018 (Volunteering): HubVoice: Finance officer.

For the academic year 2017 to 2018, I am the finance officer for the UWE student magazine, HubVoice. My main responsibility is to apply to the student union for money from a shared fund allocated to our society and the HubRadio society. At the start, I also helped to redesign and rebrand the society and what was previously a student newspaper, is now a sleeker student magazine with more relevant content.
10/2017 – 6/2018 (Volunteering): Animation Degree Show 2018: Fundraising manager/ Finance manager.

For semester one of the 2017 – 2018 academic year, I worked to organise and manage a group of 30-plus individuals into working together to run various fundraisers for our course degree show. I now oversee the managing of the finances of the degree show by keeping a track of expenditure and donations.

2012 (Volunteering): Extra in 'And Then I Was French' (2018) by Dog Eared Films.

This was my first on-set role and was the job that sparked my interest in a degree in a film related subject. I gained valuable experience on a professional live action set and witnessed a different type of production process to what I would later go on to study at UWE.
